Sheer brilliance. Unmatched talent. Original composition that provokes a lot of emotion. In love with this album.

Bruce is almost 80, and this is like his 34th album, and yet he still has it. His voice is weathered but strong, like a sage; his guitar playing remains as vibrant and full of life as ever, picking out notes like nobody else can; his lyrics are potent, vivid, and poetic, as they have been over his colossal career. Album of the year material right here. King of the Bolero and When You Arrive might be some of his best tunes ever. Hell, this is easily one of his best albums, period. New Punk/Post-Wave

There's a similarity in song writing between Richard Thompson and Hugh Cornwell which maybe isn't surprising as they went to the same school at the same time, although Thompson is older.
Due to Thompson's association with John French of Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band I searched for his work on the Bandcamp app. French, Thompson and Cornwell all have albums on the app which I'm very pleased about. Only Thompson has released contemporary albums, much to his credit. yellowcakeuf6

The instrumentation and songwriting in this album is really top-tier. Aofie is one of my favorite folk/alt-country artists and she performs wonderfully, bringing her unique tone of voice to this project. This album was my first step into Aofie's artistry, and is firmly one of my favorite albums. rileyridgway
